Free Bitcoins

How to get Free BitCoins?

Well, it may be easier than you think. In bitcoin beginnings some people started making websites called faucets where they would give free bitcoins to their visitors. The idea was to educate people how to use bitcoins.

The most popular was the faucet created by Gavin Andersen, the guy that bought 10,000 bitcoins for $50 and started giving 5 coins per IP daily to anyone that came to his website and simply left his wallet address. In today’s money this guy gave million of dollars worth of bitcoins. His faucet is not working anymore (dried out) but since it’s the oldest one and it took significant role in spreading the bitcoin story his site will also be listed in here as #1 as long as it works. What’s important also is that it may seem like a very little money today but in a year or two it could be worth a fortune just like the $50 of Gavin that are worth millions today.

For that reason it might still worth visiting some faucets and getting some free bitcoins. The problem with faucets today is that they are filled with ads and require you to go trough loops and holes in order to get some bitcoins. Also, today you can’t get payment from one visit to the faucet, so you have to go there often so you can collect enough bitcoins for the payout. Because of all that I think that you have more chances of getting some bitcoins if you simply click on “get paid to” or “pay to click” (GPT or PTC sites) sites so for that reason I’ll list these sites first. Also, these sites are now much easier to use than most of faucets.

In order to get some free coins all you need to do is visit the site, leave your wallet address and press the button. Take the note that payments are usually made once a day to lower the transaction costs. So it might take up to 24 hours or so before your coins appear in your wallet. But who cares as long as they are free! Many faucets are making payouts daily, weekly or when you reach some amount in order to lower the transaction costs. CoinPotΒ is a wallet service that collects Bitcoins (and some other alt coins like Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Litecoin and Dash) into a single place. Once you accumulate some coins from faucets there you can withdraw these coins to your Wallet or directly to Coinbase where you can exchange these for cash or other coins.
